Emily Bristow, Customer Success Director, Blue Prism
In her role at world-leading at world-leading robotic process automation vendor Blue Prism, Bristow helps companies remain competitive in the market by assisting them in effectively deploying and scaling their digital workforce. Formerly head of intelligent automation at Canadian IT firm CGI, Bristow is a history graduate and is keen to get more women into STEM careers.
Dr Mike Lakoju, Cardiff University School of Computer Science & Informatics
Dr Lakoju is currently is currently in the middle of a three-year project called ‘Chatty Factories’, exploring the transformative potential of data driven systems at the core of the manufacturing process. Prior to joining Cardiff University, Lakoju was an SAP consultant in the oil and gas sector. He obtained his PhD from Brunel University London, where he developed a Big Data Strategy framework that helps organisations identify the potential value of a Big Data project.
The event will include a factory tour, of Newport Wafer Fab, and will also include a number of talks focusing on:
- What is Big Data and Automation and how it is used within manufacturing?
- Real-life examples of how Big Data and Automation has been introduced into a manufacturing business and the impact that this has had.
There will also be an opportunity to meet and talk to experts, who will be on hand to share their knowledge, expertise, and experience.
