Susan Johns has joined the ESTnet as a project manager to work exclusively on the Wales Festival of Innovation 2017.
The Festival will be held over two weeks from the 19-30 June 2017. Its aim is to showcase the innovation taking place in Wales, to promote how our businesses and people lead the way in innovation with first class academia for research and development and cutting edge technologies in our companies.
Before working as part of the ESTnet team Susan worked for almost 20 years in the semi-conductor industry in Wales – one of the most innovative and cutting edge sectors in the country. Susan was involved in all aspects of R&D activities, including technology platform development, process transfers, new product introductions and dealing with customer issues - ultimately as a senior technical Project Manager within the Technology Development team at Infineon Technologies.
ESTnet Director Idris Price, who leads on Wales Festival of Innovation activity for the ESTnet said,

The Festival is coordinated by a partnership of organisations including the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), IET, MediWales, Swansea University, the Welsh Government and others, we are all excited to work with Susan particularly given her experiences in such an innovative sector as well as the drive and enthusiasm she brings to the role.”
The Festival is designed to provide the businesses and people of Wales with a rare opportunity to view first-hand how Wales is at the forefront of enabling technologies which underpin key industry sectors.
