The first participants of the ESTnet Year in Industry project celebrated their achievement at a special showcase event hosted by the University of South Wales.
The project was implemented to help produce ‘work ready graduates’ for the industry. ESTnet members and partners attended to hear presentations from participating students and employers reflecting on the experiences and successes of the last year.
Placements were provided by companies in Wales’ technology
community including Blurrt; Comtec; DevOpsGuys; eInifnity, Method4 and Alert Logic.
The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of students in achieving an Institute of Line Management (ILM) level 3 qualification in management.
All students will return to their university for their final year, with at least 75% of them receiving conditional offers of employment upon graduation!
The ESTnet would like to offer your company the opportunity to take part in the ESTnet Year in Industry Project for 2016-2017 so that you too could recruit motivated young people trained in your company culture.
It is an opportunity to employ an undergraduate or recent graduate from the electronic engineering or computer science departments at a Welsh university for 12 months to work on a project specific to your business.
The ESTnet will work with you and your student(s) to ensure that your placement is a success for all concerned.
If you have current vacancies suitable for a 12 month placement, please send them to Allison@estnet.uk.net.
