ESTnet member Cydweithio, a leading company in SME supply chain coordination within the Welsh software and electronics industry, has secured new opportunities in Nepal as part of a Wales-Nepal trade collaboration.
The UK Nepal Friendship Society (UKNFS) announced the launch of an important set of Wales – Nepal trade and business in the famous Captain Scott Room at the Royal Hotel in Cardiff. The historic and auspicious setting for the business and trade announcements was an appropriate venue given the scope and nature that included Tourism, upland/marginal farming, Hydropower & energy engineering with software and electronics dimensions. Private sector representatives from Cydweithio Ltd, Gnergy Ltd, Machinists Inc., Nemein Ltd, Things to do In Ltd were present.
Machinists, Inc. (MI) a supplier from single parts to complete manufacturing systems, a global problem solver in cutting-edge manufacturing processes and supply chain management, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GnERGY creating a working alliance in the Nepal hydro-power and UK energy markets. MI will provide its engineering expertise and supply chain coordination that will also incorporate Nemein Ltd. and Cydweithio Ltd. from Wales.
Also as part of a Wales - Nepal trade collaboration meeting held in Cardiff with the UK Nepal Friendship Society (UKNFS) following their successful delegation visit to Kathmandu, Nepal in January. Cydweithio Ltd. and its sister company Tŷ Gwenyn Ltd has been selected from
Wales to be in partnership with UKNFS to deliver a pilot to help improve and expand the Nepal beekeeping and honey production industry.
Tŷ Gwenyn Ltd is applying state of the art electronics and software technology to enable monitoring and reporting on the status of individual bee colonies in hives and thereby guide beekeepers in the efficient management of the colonies to maximise honey production.
